Municipality of Cassano delle Murge
Through the Beni In Comune project, the City of Cassano delle Murge intends to map public assets in the area in order to renew its commitment to enhancing and making the mapped locations available to citizens' ideas. The aim is to update and renew the urban regeneration process carried out in 2015 and called “Cassano 2020”.
The new participatory process aims to empower and share new civic horizons related to these assets, as well as enhance them to reduce possible situations of degradation and dissipation of public money. The project is linked to the desire to create long-term city planning, which is necessary to understand in which direction to direct public funds and any economic and social projects.
The process will involve all local stakeholders, public administrations that own assets in the Cassano area, and citizens of all ages.
In order to achieve the set results and complete a widely participatory process, the project includes training courses, online and offline tools, communication material available to all citizens using different languages, participatory events, focus groups, and transparency in sharing results.
